Wednesday, April 15, 2015

I was out sick yesterday and the students had a guest teacher in my place. They worked on the Byzantine Review which introduced them to the Byzantine Empire (sometimes called the Eastern Roman Empire). The review included reading and questions. They had enough time to finish in class.

Today (4/15) in Class...
  • We did Quote Wednesday for Daily Geo
  • We finished the Rome: Engineering An Empire Video & Video Guide
  • We practiced our Africa Maps for the text next week
Homework...
  • None
Today In History...
  • In 1865, President Abraham Lincoln died after being shot the previous evening by actor John Wilkes Booth.

  • In 1912, the British passenger liner RMS Titanic sunk in the North Atlantic at 2:20 a.m., two hours and forty minutes after hitting an iceberg. Only 710 of 2,227 passengers and crew on board survived
